Freeze jacket fitted
We wrap the freezing jacket around a clean section of copper pipe close to the fitting we're replacing.
Ice plug formed
Within 10 to 20 minutes a solid ice plug forms inside the pipe, holding back the water with the system still full.
Old stop tap removed
The failed stop tap or valve comes off dry — no draining down, no flooded cupboard, no lost water supply.
New valve fitted and tested
New lever stop tap fitted, the freeze thaws naturally, then we pressure and leak test before tidying up.
